Abstract

Aryl acetylenes are versatile intermediates in organic synthesis in view of the easy derivatization of their triple bonds [1] and find application in molecular electronics.[2] The elective method for the synthesis of these compounds is the Sonogashira reaction, which involves the Pd/Cu-mediated formation of a C (sp2) ÀC (sp) bond.
