Abstract
Various metal-based systems have been investigated successfully for decarbonylation reactions including those with Ru, 12 Ir, 13 Rh 14–19 and Pd 20–26 at 180–280 °C with limited substrate scope. However, very few of the existing decarbonylation catalysts are easily available and almost all of them are costly.
