Abstract Die Wittig-Reaktion zwischen 9-Acetoxy-nonanal (2) und einer salzfreien Lösung von Triphenyl-pentyliden-phosphoran (1) führt zum Essigsäure-[cis-tetradecen-(9)-yl- ester](3). 2 erhält man ausgehend von Oleinalkohol in 2 Stufen oder ausgehend von Azelainsäure in 8 Stufen.
