Abstract
Hantzsch ester 1,4-dihydropyridine (HEH), analogues of coenzyme NAD(P)H, has been used as a safe and easy-to-handle reagent for the reduction of organic functional groups. [8] In 2004, Wu and co-workers [9] reported a novel system of HEH, and platinum(II) complexes can produce hydrogen irradiated by visible light.
