Abstract
Benzylstannanes R3Sn (CH2C6H4X) have been prepared in a one-pot synthesis via coupling of benzyl bromides and organotin halides. 13C-and 119Sn-NMR data are reported. Mössbauer parameters and crystal structures for o-Cl-, m-Cl-, oF-, and m-FC6H4CH2SnPh3 reveal undistorted tetrahedral geometry about tin. Any interaction between tin and halogens is excluded.
