Abstract

• This study aimed to identify early prediction markers of carcinogens in rats. • Cellular distribution of cell cycle proteins was analyzed after 28-day treatment. • Cell proliferation-evoking carcinogens induced activation of M phase proteins. • Carcinogens lacking proliferative activity did not have these effects. • Cell proliferation and M phase proteins might functions as an early prediction unit.
