Abstract

Attempts to evolve a new peptide synthesis using boron reagents have led to several new amide syntheses, involving either trialkylboranes. trialkoxyboranes, chlorodialkoxyboranes or dialkoxyboranes. The method using the readily available trimethoxyborane may be of general synthetic value.
