Abstract
Room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs), also called “designer solvents”, have been drawing intense scrutiny owing to their properties such as a wide “liquid” range, good ability to dissolve both organic and inorganic compounds, high polarity, good thermal stability and negligible vapor pressure.
