Abstract
Currently, one employed method to prepare aryl and heteroaryl amides involves the haloform cleavage reaction of trihalo acetyl derivatives. 2-5 However, these procedures require anhydrous conditions and, in some cases, expensive reagents such as trichloroacetyl chloride for preparing the trichloroketone starting material. 6-7 In addition, the use of water is preferred in environmental friendly procedures, which makes the chemical processes economical. 8 These ...
