Abstract
22-55% also obtained from IV in higher (90%) yield by an Oppenauer oxidation with cyclohexanone and aluminum isopropoxide in benzene. From the molecular formula (CleH1402) of VII, and the fact a structure corresponding to either IVc IV I1 or IVd, five possible structures (partial formulas VIIa-VIIe) were considered.
