Abstract

Abstract The previously unreported (halosilyl) methylsilanes, XSiH 2 CH 2 SiH 3 (X= F, Cl, Br, and I), were synthesized and characterized by PMR, infrared, mass spectra, vapor pressure data, and melting points. In addition, a new preparation of the parent hydride, disilylmethane, is described.
