Abstract

Abstract: A new synthetic method of 1, 2, 3-triazole from glyoxal monohydrazone mono- oxime (1a) has been developed. 1a obtained by the thermal disproportionation of glyoxal bis- hydrazone (1b) and glyoxime (1c) was treated with acetic anhydride to give 2-acetyl-1, 2, 3- triazole, following alcoholysis gave 1, 2, 3-triazole in high yield.
