Abstract
The cleavage of a carbon-oxygen bond promoted by transition metal complexes has become an important process in organic synthesis. 1, 2 The majority of these reactions reported thus far involve the cleavage of an alkyl-O bond (alkyl fission) in esters (Scheme 1).
