Abstract Sequential metal-halogen exchange reactions between nC 4 H 9 Li and 1, 3, 5- tribromobenzene and reaction at each step with (CH 3) 3 M IV Cl (M IV Si, Ge, Sn) has provided a 1, 3, 5-(trimethylmetal (IV)) benzene compound.
