Abstract

Schmidt reaction. cleavage of the intermediate iminodiazonium ion to give the t-butyl derivative of the aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. reaction is explained as a &fission similar to that observed for certain carbonium ions. isomeric ketones formed by rearrangement of the original ketones by the sulfuric acid.
