Abstract
2-(Acyloxy) ethylphosphonate analogues of geranyl, farnesyl, and geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate have been prepared. Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons condensation of different terpene aldehydes with an unsymmetrical bisphosphonate was the key step in syntheses of the phosphonates bearing α, β-unsaturated acyloxy groups.
