Abstract: Copper (I) bromide-promoted reactions of bromo [(diethoxyphosphoryl) difluoromethyl] zinc reagent 2 with propargylic tosylates and acetates were examined. The reaction proceeded in an SN2'manner to give allenic (a, a-difluoromethylene) phosphonates in good to excellent yield.
