Abstract
Bromofluoromethyltriphenylphosphonium bromides react with trialkylphosphites in two distinct ways. Bromodifluoromethyltriphenylphosphonium bromide undergoes a rapid exchange reaction with trialkylphosphites to give the corresponding bromodifluoromethylphosphonates in good to excellent yields.
