Abstract

Thc addition IJf triclilorosilaiie t (ia iiuniber of alkglcyclohexenes was examined using chloroplatiiiic acid as it catalyst. Terniinal adducts were obtained exclusively with 4- methylcyclohexene, 1-metliylcyclohexene and 1-ethylcyclohexetie. The addition to 4- methylcyclohexene proceeded through rearrangement to 1-metliylcyclohexene. Both 1-n- propylcyclohesene and 1-n-octylcyclohexene were unreactive under the same conditions. ...
