Abstract
The coupling of diaryldimethyltins with Cu (NO 3) 2· 3H 2 O in THF proceeds smoothly at room temperature under ambient atmosphere to produce the corresponding biaryls in good to high yields. Diaryldimethyltins can be prepared in high yields by the reaction of aryllithiums with dichlorodimethyltin.
