Abstract
Trichothecenes are a group of more than 50 sesquiterpenoid mycotoxins produced by many fungi.'These mycotoxins have been responsible for human and animal toxicoses resulting from consumption of contaminated Furthermore, in the recent past, there has been considerable interest in T-2 toxin (1 1) and related mycotoxins because of controversy over their alleged use in chemical/biological warfare in Afghanistan and Southeast Asia. 3
