Abstract

The first examples of liquid crystalline chloro-bridged dinuclear palladium organyls carrying semiperfluorinated alkyl chains at their peripheries have been synthesised. The liquid crystalline properties were investigated using polarised optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray scattering.
