Abstract

We report the activation of C02 by a binuclear complex of Ir (0). The activation and reduction of carbon dioxide are areas of potential importance for artificially recycling the products of combustion and re~ piration.~~~ The activation of CO, may be accomplished by (i) chemical, 2-'8 (ii) electro~ hemical,~~-~'or (iii) photochemica122-26 means.
