Abstract

Abstract N-arylimides of trans-aconitic acid were prepared by boiling the acid in a glacial acetic acid with N-arylamines. N-Arylamides of the trans-aconitic acid were obtained as intermediates in the course of the synthesis of the corresponding imides. The condensation of the trans-aconitic acid amides with hydrazine afforded arylamides of 1-amino-2, 6-dioxo- 1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydropyridine-4-carboxylic acid and proved the cis configuration of the initial ...
