Abstract
4-Methoxy and 4-tert-butoxypheno1s were synthetized, with methyl, isopropyl, and tert-butyl groups as substituents in positions 2, 6. Phenoxy radicals formed by the oxidation of these compounds were identified with the aid of EPR spectrometry. Effects of alkyl substituents upon the behaviour of these radicals were also studied.
