Abstract

Abstract A new efficient protocol for the synthesis of 3, 5-dinitrothiophene scaffolds was developed by using simple p-tert-butylcalix [8] arene in aqueous medium. Biological activities of some representative compounds were also studied to inhibit the cell growth on selective anticancer cell lines.
