Abstract

Perfluoro-2-methylene-1, 3-dioxolane (III) was synthesized and polymerized with an initiator, perfluoro dibenzoyl peroxide, and a white solid product III-P was quantitatively isolated. The polymer was insoluble in organic solvents including fluorinated solvents such as Fluorinert FC 75 and hexafluorobenzene, but dissolved in hexafluorobenzene by heating at around 140° C in a sealed ampoule. The X-ray measurement showed that III-P was semi- ...
