Abstract

Biologic Activity. The compounds were tested for antibacterial activity in vitro by reported procedure~.~ Although no real trend is apparent, inspection of Table I1 shows that compounds with an alkyl chain of 3-5 carbon atoms appear most active against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Streptococcus pyogenes.
