Abstract

Abstract Treatment of 3, 4, 4, 5-tetrachloro-4H-1, 2, 6-thiadiazine (1) with formic acid affords the title compound 2 in high yield. Replacement reactions of 2 with various N-, O-and S- nucleophiles are described. The structure of the thiadiazine ring in the compounds prepared is discussed.
