Abstract

Abstract Si-functional 2-(dimethylphosphino) ethylsilanes of the types X 3 SiCH 2 P (CH 3) 2 and X 2 Si [CH 2 CH 2 P (CH 3) 2] 2 (X= F, Cl) can be prepared in high yield by photochemical addition of HP (CH 3) 2 to the vinylhalosilanes X 3 SiCH CH 2 and X 2 Si (CH CH 2) 2, respectively.
