Abstract
VI. Preparation of 1. Compound 1 was prepared by the chlorination of pentafluorobenzenethiol (Peninsular Chem. Research) in carbon tetrachloride as described by Sheppard and Foster. 13 VII. Gas Chromatography. The GC analyses were done primarily with a 6 ft X 0.25 in column packed with 20% SE-30 on 60-80 mesh WAWDMCS. Temperatures varied from 50 to 200" C. The helium flow rate was about 100 mL/min.
