Abstract
Preceding papers on aromatic sulfurations have shown that a catalytic amount of iron powder promotes the reaction of aromatics with the compounds containing bivalent sulfur- chlorine bonds. The reactions with sulfur chlorides' and sulfenyl chlorides2 yield symmetric sulfides and asymmetric sulfides, respectively.
