CONTINUING our investigations1-* on the properties of silyl nitronates (silyl esters of mi-nitroalkanes) , and seeking some parallel with the reactions of silyl enol ethers, we now report the effective a-alkylation (arylation) of such nitro- nates derived from primary nitroalkanes, and /3-alkylation ...
