Abstract
Tripodal ligands containing 8-hydroxyquinoline moieties have been reported with strong binding but perplexing fluorescence properties. Herein we describe the synthesis, photophysical properties and structural characterization of three 8-hydroxyquinoline-based fluorescent Zn (II) probes.
