Abstract

Acetylenes also reacted with chloramines to yield adducts (entries 7, 8, and 10). These reactions, which occurred spontaneously, presumably gave enamines (V) as initial, products; these were hydrolyzed on work-up to a-chlorocarbonyl compounds (eq. 6). Aminiurn radicals were shown in these reactions to be
