Abstract

Tröger base 1, 1 a molecule containing chiral nitrogen centres exists in two enantiomeric forms. Due to its rigid and concave shape, it has attracted a large amount of research over the last several decades. 2 Its chiral nature was first identified by Prelog and Wieland in 1944.
