Abstract
Bis-sulfinyloxiranes were synthesized in two steps from carbonyl compounds and α, ω- dichloro-α, ω-disulfinylalkanes, which were synthesized from α, ω-dibromoalkanes in three steps, in good yields. Treatment of the bis-sulfinyloxiranes with sodium benzenethiolate and piperidine gave α, α′-di (phenylthio) diketones and α, α′-diamino diketones, respectively, in high yields.
