Abstract

Reactions of dimethyl-, diethyl-, or di (n-propy1) phosphinothioic halides with Grignard reagents give trisubstituted phosphine sulfides in high yield. In conflict with results reported by Bogolyubov, it was not possible to obtain diphosphine disulfides from these reactions.
