Abstract
Abstract Direct nucleophilic substitution of allylic alcohols with various nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon nucleophiles catalyzed by MoO 2 (acac) 2 was realized. The corresponding products were obtained in moderate-to-excellent yields. Studies of the reaction mechanism showed that a carbenium intermediate was formed in the transition state.(© Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2009)
