Abstract

The Reissert method has been utilized for the preparation of 6-n-amylindole from 2-nitro-4- (1-penteny1)-toluene, 6-n-Amyltryptophan was prepared by saponification, decarboxylation and deacetylation of diethyl 6-n-amylskatylacetamidomalonate, obtained by the alkylation of diethyl acetamidomalonate with 6-n-amylgramine.
