Abstract
Symmetrical and unsymmetrical N,N'-disubstituted aryl/alkyl urea derivatives are well known for their biological activities including herbicidal properties,1-5 COX-2 inhibition6a and fat metabolism inhibition.7 Symmetrical disubstituted aromatic ureas are useful as agrochemicals and their intermediates8 and as stabilisers5,9 for smokeless gunpowder, propellants and solid rocket fuels.
