Abstract

Abstract A straightforward strategy for the synthesis of imidazole-fused benzodiazocine from 1-(2-nitrophenyl)-1H-imidazole-2-carbaldehyde via Morita–Baylis–Hillman reaction followed by reductive intramolecular cyclization is described.
