Abstract Cycloaddition of aromatic nitrile oxides to methyl o-vinylbenzoate produced methyl 2-(3-aryl-2-isoxazolin-5-yl) benzoates; the isoxazolines were converted to methyl 2-(3- arylisoxazol-5-yl) benzoates.
