Abstract

The use of borane-derived protecting groups for aldehydes containing pyridine and phosphine functionalities allows the performance of highly enantioselective additions of functionalized diorganozincs leading to polyfunctional chiral hydroxy-pyridines and- phosphines with excellent enantioselectivity.
