Abstract

Abstract: The rates of the acid-catalyzed isomerization of cis-and trans-crotyl and a- methylallyl acetates and their equilibrium ratios have been determined in acetic acid at several temperatures. In addition, the acid-catalyzed rate of loss of optical activity of a- methylallyl acetate in acetic acid was studied at two perchloric acid concentrations.
