Abstract
The reaction of trifluorochloroethylene with f1uorotrichloromethane in the presence of aluminium chloride afforded a mixture of five isomeres of tetrafluorotetrachloropropane among which 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoro-(Ia) and 1, 1, 2, 2-tetrafluorotetrachloropropane (Ib) prevail, their relative amounts in the mixture being 49 and 36%.
