Abstract
A novel β-diketiminate ligand makes three-coordinate iron imides more stable to decomposition but more reactive toward hydrocarbon substrates. The structural influences of the imido N-substituent and β-diketiminate ligand explain the trends in H-atom transfer reactivity.
