Abstract

Abstract The addition of (pentafluorophenyl) dimethylsilane (I), bis (pentafluorophenyl) methylsilane (II) and tris (pentafluorophenyl) silane (III) to phenylacetylene catalyzed by hexachloroplatinic acid gave mixtures of α-and β-substituted styrenes in each case; the proportion of the α-isomer increased from (I)–(III).
