Abstract-The oxidative decarboxylation of monoamides of oxalic acid provides carbamoyl radicals, which are useful for the selective arbamoylation of protonated heteroaromatic bases; this reaction represents the first general and selective method for the N-alkyl kk kk N- arylcarbamoylation of heteroaromatic bases.
