Abstract
The effects of lithium perchlorate on acetolysis rate of 0-and p-anisylethyl p- toluenesulfonates have been contrasted with those observed with the phenylethyl, neophyl and p-methoxyneophyl esters. With the 0-and p-anisylethyl derivatives, lithium perchlorate exerts both" special" and" normal" salt effects.
